January 4, 3013 Matthew Freitas, a Weymouth Youth Lacrosse Goalie, age 11 at the time, son of Scott and Melissa (Greene) Freitas, was injured in a car accident in Maine. Matthew suffered a very serious injury to his right foot and despite great efforts made by his medical team, Matthew's right lower leg was amputated. Matthew faces years of rehabilitation and a long road to recovery. Over the years, Matty's pocket medical expenses will be enormous.
