Weymouth High Varsity Spring 2008 Season

The Weymouth High Wildcats begin there season March 17th, 2008.

Former Weymouth High Asst. Lacrosse Coach Rob McCarthy took over over the reigns after Hall Of Fame Legend Tony Manzelli has retired after 35 years (2006) as Founder and Head Coach of Weymouth Lacrosse.

Coach McCarthy is entering his second year as Head Varsity Coach and had a tremendous first season in 2007. Coach McCarthy was awarded the Bay State Coach of the Year Award in 2007. Coach McCarhty also led the 2007 team into the quarter finals of the tournament where they faced the 3X Time Defending Division 1 State Chapms (Duxbury HS) and the Wildcats gave Duxbury everythig they could handle with a one goal game until the last 4 minutes of the game and the Duxbury Dragons just had too much offense and defeated Weymouth 11-6. 
Coach McCarthy  is a history teacher at Weymouth High, Weymouth JV lacrosse coach for 5 yrs, Weymouth Varsity asst. coach for 1 year (2006), played lacrosse at Weymouth South - 90'.
